The presentation will address a wide variety of amulet types and styles with definition provided on material, operation, handling, and specific practices associated with each. This physical inventory will allow us to explore the spiritual forces, qualities, and beliefs that are embedded within the tradition. We will discuss the hierarchy and lineage of the monks and spiritual practitioners associated with the main amulet types, and there will be amulets on display for illustration and examination. This presentation will hopefully encourage your own talismanic practices and affirm your beliefs by demonstrating how millions of others share similar convictions even in the face of modern promissory materialism.
